Discover the latest insights from the Maine Cat Lab, which houses a comprehensive international database of cat-human dyads, feline personality assessments, and cognitive measures. Since 2024, co-investigators Dr. Karol Maybury (UMF Psychology) and Bryce Cundick (Mantor Library Director) have evaluated over 8,000 cats and their owners. This presentation will explore significant behavioral variations across cat populations, including common assumptions about color, intelligence, and temperament. Finally, the data highlights a powerful universal trend: the profound strength of the human-feline bond, independent of a cat’s individual cognitive or personality profile.
