
9/5/26: WUMF presents Battle of the Bands
4:00pm (doors open at 3pm), Emery Performance Space
Free and open to the public
WUMF 91.5, the student-run radio station at the University of Maine at Farmington, will be hosting Battle of the Bands in September to shine a spotlight on local bands. This is going to be a large community building event taking place at Emery Community Arts Center on the UMF campus. The bands will perform in Emery’s performance space.
Key information:
Doors open at 3pm on Saturday, September 5th with the event beginning at 4pm
Each band will be given 20 minutes to perform
After all of the bands play, a refreshment break will ensue and voting will start
The winner will be declared and invited back on stage to perform an encore
There will be a back lined drum kit (bring breakables, aka, snare cymbals and hi hats) and all other sound will be provided by Emery Community Arts Center staff.

WUMF 91.5 is the University of Maine at Farmington’s radio station that aims to promote the importance of new music and up and coming artists, as well as highlight student creativity while emphasizing a shared love of music.
